An arrangement where an online publisher promotes a company’s products and earns a commission for sales generated through their marketing efforts, such as an influencer sharing affiliate links to an ecommerce store on their blog.

For example, a YouTuber might promote a VPN service on their channel and receive a percentage of subscription fees from users who sign up via the YouTuber’s unique referral link.
