Chief Executive Office (CEO)

The highest-ranking executive in a company, ultimately responsible for all managerial decisions, overseeing operations and resources to pursue strategic initiatives set by the board of directors.

For example, the CEO of a major automaker would set the vision and direction for the company, lead key initiatives around developing new technologies, and make decisions regarding production, marketing, financial matters, and other areas.
