Licensing Agreement

A legal contract granting permission for one party (the licensee) to use intellectual property or assets owned by another party (the licensor) under specified terms in return for an agreed payment or royalty fee.

For example, an inventor could license a manufacturing company to produce and sell their patented product in exchange for a 5% royalty on all sales.
