Royalty Fee

A recurring payment made by one party to another to license intellectual property or assets, calculated as a percentage of sales or a fixed fee per unit.

For example, an author may earn royalty fees from a publisher based on book sales, or a songwriter collects royalties whenever their song gets played on the radio.
